麻豆传媒社区

Kickline

A unique program that brings Vermont schools together through dance!

Join the 麻豆传媒社区 for a day of movement and community building that makes dance accessible to all!

Kickline is a free 麻豆传媒社区 event for 3rd-6th grade students that gets kids and teachers moving together because we know that dance supports social-emotional wellbeing and physical health.

Dance is one of the five disciplines that the Vermont Agency of Education identifies as critical components of the creative process. Under the umbrella of four domains (Create, Perform/Present/Produce, Respond, and Connect) students develop the transferable skills of observation, empathy, resilience, problem-solving, presence, and tenacity.  Practicing these skills will prepare each participant with a growth-oriented perspective of themselves and their ability to thrive.

How it works:

  • Participating school groups start the program in the fall by joining us for a full day celebration of movement and community. Working with trained teaching artists, schools work together and in break out groups to learn some basic dance moves, play movement-based games, and end the day with a dance party.
  • Teachers head back to school with learning materials that help them to continue to move with their students through the year.
  • Participating schools receive a teaching artist visit during the school year to build on the movements and games learned during the event.

Registration is OPEN for our 2025 Kickline program
